Jorge is a strategic, mission-driven executive and board director with nearly two decades of global leadership shaping the future of airports and infrastructure. As Founder and Managing Partner of Ironbridge P3 Infrastructure, he advises and co-invests with infrastructure investors, governments, and operators on the development and financing of next generation aviation infrastructure.
Previously, Jorge served as CEO of Avports, where he led over 650 employees across 17 airports in the United States and Caribbean and transformed the company into a leading airport investor and operator. Under his leadership, Avports entered into landmark long term public-private partnership (P3) leases at Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut and Manassas Regional Airport (HEF) in DC/Northern Virginia, and partnered with infrastructure investors in the US Virgin Islands airports (STT and STX) and four airports in the Bahamas, catalyzing over $500 million in new infrastructure P3 investment and supporting the creation of hundreds of new jobs, including union jobs.
Earlier in his career, Jorge co-founded the Carlyle Airport Group (CAG), where he co-originated and co-led the winning proposal for the $9.5 billion JFK New Terminal One (NTO) project, the largest airport redevelopment in United States history.
He also led strategic growth initiatives at Airports Worldwide (formerly ADC & HAS), a partnership among the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), Airport Development Corporation (ADC), and Houston Airports (HAS), where he spearheaded over two dozen airport P3 bids in the US, EMEA, Asia and Latam, managed investments across the US, UK, Sweden, and Costa Rica, and co-led the more than $500 million acquisition of the Abertis TBI airport portfolio.
Jorge began his career as a senior bank teller at Bank of America and subsequently as a Senior Economic Analyst at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Economics Antitrust Division in Washington, D.C. Post-MBA he worked as an associate in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in London, advising aviation, transportation and support services companies.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (HBS), two bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Business from the University of Washington (UW), and is a certified International Airport Professional through Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). He also recently completed Stanford University’s AI Driven Leadership program.
A recognized voice in the global aviation community, Jorge previously served as a Board Advisor to the Airports Council International (ACI) Latin America and Caribbean Regional Board of Directors and currently serves on Vaughn College President’s Advisory Board and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) National Leadership Committee. He is also active with the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), including its CEO Economic Summit and Equity in Action initiatives.
Beyond his professional work, Jorge is deeply engaged in community leadership. He currently serves on the University of Washington Friends of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Board of Directors and actively supports leadership and career development programs with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT).
A frequent speaker and thought leader at global aviation conferences, Jorge brings a bold, pragmatic perspective on innovation, sustainability, and P3s shaping aviation’s next era.
Outside of work, Jorge is a dedicated father of four and integrates yoga and mindfulness into his leadership practice, reinforcing clarity, resilience, and presence in high stakes environments.
